So, really, what does a creative director do and why do you need one? We play a key role in how a company looks and feels to the outside world. As a creative director, I manage the creative process from concept to completion and am the conduit between corporate management, IT, marketing and the creative team. It’s my job to make a company or project not just look good, but be effective and profitable, not just for today but for the long run. Here’s a snapshot of what I do as a Creative Director:
1. CREATIVE VISION
Formulate an overarching concept for a product, brand or company that will resonate with your target audience.
2. CREATIVE ASSETS
Establish which designs should be created, how the concepts will be applied, and collaborate with the creative and design teams to produce the visual assets.
3. PROFITABLE DELIVERY
I oversee deliverables, timelines, budgets, profitability, and sustainability reporting. I meet with the leadership team to explain campaign strategies and solutions. And, I troubleshoot.
